Nigerian Women Agro Allied Farmers Association is a non Governmental organization with focus on community life, well-been and Nutrition sensitive Agriculture. We are located close to the Country side and so we live every day seeing the scourge of poverty and lack in our communities. We are looking for partners to engage with on ICT 4 Immun+Health
Explain the innovation (2,500 characters)
The Innovation 1CT 4 Urban Immunization Challenge is focused on solving problems created by lack of accurate population data, lack of data on dis aggregation of who lives where and to solve problems compounded by lack of proper planning in our urban settings and worse off is the uprising of un-planned peri-urban with over blotted numbers of uncounted citizens. Ict will be used to identify homes, schools, hospitals and the different age groups. These citizens are the beneficiaries of the ict 4 Immunization when applied. Immunization urban challenge is mainly caused by persons living in the peri- urban who are accessing same health facility meant for a lower figures of urban dwellers. How does the innovation work, By proper identification, mapping, marking, monitoring,evaluation and reporting . This goes with each house hold mapped, marked, monitored, evaluated and reported to Immunization authorities. Each of these exercise must be done with the communities, Dis-aggregation will further enhance identification of various groups in the communities, example, The age disparities for example, children born within 24 hours from 0-6 months, year 1-3, Year 3-5, Nos between 5-10, Teenage age, Youths, Women and men.These identification is key to setting up a viable health plan and this fits into Gavi Country,s Plan. Innovation supported by ICT 4 Immunization will assist health workers to target the grey areas and to support the areas needing more medical attention especially on immunization overages. Monitoring will further keep the health workers informed and on alert and evaluation and reporting is a way of supporting the communities to speak out on any service which is lacking or not been applied as appropriated.

These innovation are suitable for growing Countries, Countries in the Caribbeans and Asians where developments are still on course and who have not achieved the Universal Health Coverage Standards and pro-poor or low income earned Countries. Other Countries with new health bills will also cue into.
Who will work alongside your organization in the project idea? (1,000 characters)
In adopting this challenge, We have already on ground My Community Health Watch Group, as a stand by team, This group have worked in Communities solving their health needs, they are a competent group to engage in getting things right working in Urban Immunization Challenge. We will adopt partners who are partnering with us on the other project to make for easier coordination. We will need Ashely Tillman and every other willing and new partners to promote our work. We will need funders, as ICT means acquiring Digital mobile phones, Cameras, Laptops , Printers and a new operation base close to our areas of work for an effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting exercises. And for a proper interface between challenge operators, health workers and the Community. We will also need persons of experience in our board and as program advisers as well experts in different fields.
How is your idea unique? (750 characters)
Our Idea was born out of field experience, which means we are on site already. There is no doubt other persons may have same idea, but it will never be the same as operational modalities can never be compared. And so we are looking forward to integrate this to My Community Health Watch Group activities for a wider reach, Better results and more lives saved. We have an expansion plan as we are working on ANH (Agriculture Nutrition and Health. These three when integrated solves mans most urgent needs and lowers mortality rates in communities, peri-urban and urban settlements. Another thing ICT 4 Immunization challenge will add is education and Wealth Creation. These we are bringing on the table to enhance our negotiation. We will Innovate ICT

Our work is food production,We combine ANH (Agriculture Nutrition and Health) This lead us to Community work on Immunization as good health cannot be achieved without proper immunization. We arrived at watching our Community and we are now in ICT 4 I

Gender is key to our work. As a women led group and Community leadership group, we ensure we have women 60-75% in our interventions, In appointments we also choose more women because men do not understand the urgency and needs surrounding family health especially the need to immunize the child. As a mother I could not remember how many times my husband have followed me to the clinic to immunize any of our children.And so I am a woman immunization champion and women are key to good family health
