The first OpenIDEO Singapore Meetup group]
During our Social Impact Challenge last year, we asked ourglobal community to help answer the question How might we increase social impact with OpenIDEO over the next year? One of the winning ideas by Anjelika involved creating local OpenIDEO chapters. We took this idea and turned it into a reality and launched it last month. Today, we have twelve active groups and our initiative is growing.
These in person events help provide social capital and accountability to find the right people and networks to make your idea real. Each group is focused on prototyping ideas based on their own interests or the goal of a specificOpenIDEO challenge. To help them get started we created a Toolkit and platforms to support sharing best practices. Interested in hearing about some of these events? Read about the full journey to realisation on our blog.
If this impact excites you, get involved by joining a local Meetup. To do so visit our Meetups page and contact a local coordinator near you. Don’t see a chapter in your area? Download our Meetup Toolkit and email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know.
