Open Source OpenIDEO Platform

Scalability is the key to maximal impact. OpenIDEO can licence it's software platform to schools and municipalities across the globe to foster innovation from the ground up.

Could OpenIDEO be licensed as an open-source platform for high school students?

There could be challenges linked to the curriculum and the DQ would inspire individual innovation and collaborative prototyping. Teachers could look up each student's profile to see and track their interests and tailor new challenges to spur them further. Concepts could be searched and shared between schools and feature in an annual national competition.

A "municipal" version of OpenIDEO could be used to elicit ideas from citizens on how the city can best save money, eliminate inefficiencies and battle corruption.

This is great! Coming from a higher education perspective, this tool would be perfect for various groups from classroom projects to more large scale, long-term projects students must complete in different programs. I could certainly use such a tool both in the classroom and with the student groups I advise.
