POP-UP OpenIdeo Local Galleries

A series of co-ordinated POP-UP Galleries (temporary structures/shacks) that pop up throughout a certain period across the world in different cities and focus on the same challenge.

Eg: Eating Healthy for kids. PREPWORK:Volunteer members from OpenIdeo get local press activated about the event, acquire govt. permissions, corporate sponsorships for space, equipment and refreshments (Could be one or two large sponsors globally as well). Lots of pre-event publicity at colleges/schools/local press inviting teams to pitch and win prizes to work on a local pilot. CONTENT: The Gallery showcases an exhibition of the winning concepts on the particular challenge from across the world, and invites people dropping in to pitch their efforts twoards activation as a team. Live streaming video from what's happening around the world on the same concept at different POP-UPS. A global/local VC firm is the judge and has a funding reward to sponsor a pilot activiation in one community or by one team.TAKEAWAYS: Teams are invited to pitch and win the VC contest. If their pilot is succesfully implementted, they can even win a chance to join OpenIdeo tO take on a larger challenge for implementing the same nationally/ globally. (A mash-up of PopUp, PechaKucha, Reality TV, social innovation and VC contests).

At all levels, it's a global idea that is locally relevant and if coordinated in different locations simultaneously, can achieve a global momentum.

Holistic Event organisation, PR, marketing, branding, volunteer organisation and coordination of sponsors

Nice Sabina, I know this idea will have to have a lot of planning before putting forward to rest of the audience from all around. But once it is well implemented, it could spread a lot of awareness and bring a lot of people together for social cause. :)
