The "Where's George" campaign provides a fun way to track dollar bills on their journey. What if there was an engaging way to follow your donation on its journey?
How could we use the perspective of the donation to tell a story?

What if we drew from the cigarette package warnings? (but maybe with a little more positive spin) Could we put the story of a donor, or someone in need of a bone marrow transplant on Q-tip packaging?

The recent book "Nudge" analyzes our human tendencies in decision-making, and one conclusion is that people will usually follow preset defaults (one less decision to worry about). Why not make registering to be a bone marrow donor the default?

Girl Scout cookies have become such a part of the American tradition that even the thought of a thin mint brings a smile to most of our faces. What if we had the option to buy the cookies we know and love with membership in the bone marrow registry?

What if cotton swab companies printed something on their products and their packaging about how easy it is to be tested for your bone marrow type? Qtips could engage what's between people's ears, while keeping those clean too.

We learned from the "Ben Franklin Effect" that people appreciate those _for_whom_ they've done a favor. What small, easily-grantable favors can we request of potential donors? The result will magnify the effectiveness of our subsequent efforts.

The Obama Campaign did it better than almost any other campaign I can recall in the last few years. The team used the myObama system to allow people to create their own profile, connect with other supporters near them, and to reach out to new donors.
