Take Back the Night marches and rallies are organized to protest and spread awareness about violence against women. More than posters and facebook event invitations, tweets, etc., hearing the actual voices speaking immediately grabs people's attention. I once saw someone ask who were those people making so much noise outside and she wanted to know who it was. Yes, she was bothered, for one thing, but the important thing is, she noticed.
What if we organized such marches? For example, on-campus groups could go around the campus calling out for donations and expressing our causes in succinct phrases.
