But a big takeaway I got out of it was the ability to create meaningful impact by training and empowering local entrepreneurs. In the developed world and around the challenge of donation, what better way to educate encourage action than through our family doctors?
Perhaps we could provide local physicians with the literature and cheek swabs to discuss marrow donation with families. Make it an actual discussion point - a personal mission for them. If the first step toward donation starts in a place we trust, could we convert more registrants to follow through?
