School House Rock! for India

What's the School House Rock! for schools in India? Could we create a radio program that educates students in the same catchy way that "Conjunction Junction" teaches us about joining words?

Who would implement this?

  • A big company
  • A local entrepreneur or small organization
  • A globally-based social entrepreneur
  • NGOs and Foundations

This allows students to learn through song and play, as opposed to physical teaching tools. This learning could also happen outside the classroom.

Distribution & Delivery

What if you played these programs at assemblies, where all students are present? It could become a learning opportunity in more of a fun and social setting.

The programs would have to be designed to match the local curriculum. I can see this being a great project for graduate students looking to base their thesis work in education.

Local Need. Enterprising Schools has identified key areas of need for Affordable Private Schools. What local learning need(s) does this concept address?

  • English language learning (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Math learning

I like this idea and sure it would be very effective. The challenge may be in scaling it to be able to produce song/play content for all variety of topics we would need it for, definitely worth a start.
