Create a distinct looking water bottle which can be used to sell the local Caldas spring water in a global market. The profit will be re-invested locally to improve the local drinking water.

How do you envision this idea making money?

The water is bottled in Caldas but sold internationally. The profit will be re-invested in the local community to secure clean water for local people.

How does this idea create social impact, particularly around improving health?

The water will generate profits which will improve the drinking water around Caldas. Clean water is a source of health and illness prevention.

How does this idea add social value at every step of the process?

The water will be locally produced (generating employment) and the profit will be locally invested.

What are the short term steps we could take to implement this idea tomorrow?

First step would be to find a local natural spring (*preferably one with a local story to it) Second step: get a designer to create a unique looking bottle, which can be produced locally. Third step: find local people who has a unique story, which can be shared at the bottle Fourth: set up the local tap system (OK... maybe that should be step two... but it is such a big step that I didn't want to overload you) Fifth step: Imploy local people Sixth step: team up with Coca Cola and use their distribution system ("Gotta be optimistic")

Interesting, Anne! I also wonder whether there's a concept lurking which addresses water supply locally via a social business model – given that rural Colombia still faces some challenges in this area? (or at least so I gather from Señor Google ;^)
