Jane McGonical in this video introduces the potential of play and games to solve problems. She has already designed and built some great stuff and I feel her can inspirational to us all in the context of this challenge.

I actually participated in the Evoke game she introduced in this TED talk, and I won! I created a project called Binikou ~ The Human Powered School which encourages teams of kids, teens, and adults to come up with simple, practical solutions to helping young people get more of their basic needs met: healthy food, clean water, fresh air, warmth, light, and the freedom to express their body's excess solids, liquids, gases, and energy. And the project has been giving a jump start by the Evoke sponsors, so that we can really make it successful. Binikou is why I'm here at OpenIDEO, too, looking at more complex solutions to helping people get their needs met, so that they can be awesome!

So yeah, Jane McGonical is quite the inspiration!
