"Up we grow" is a book about living on a farm. It is filed with photographs and covers a year of activites on a farm, and how the foods go to local markets.
The books cover topics and asks questions along the way so kids have a chance to voice their feelings and think through what growing food and working with animals would be like.

Other books like this could be integrated over storytimes to get children thinking and talking about eating healthy and followed by a healthy snack.
Kids could also be given time to create/ design their own farms.
Kids would be encouraged to find more books that have vegetable and farm themes.
