Availability of MOOCs and consider them as degree courses
Initiated a plan which can be helpful in addressing the high cost of college in US
Who is the target audience for your idea and how does it reimagine the cost of college?
Our target audience is primarily university going students who can't bear the cost of their education. What we have proposed for this challenge is to promote the MOOCs and make them available for students to learn from it. In the end of the course, students who successfully complete the course will get a degree or certification for a small amount of money. This is happening , however, this certificates or degrees are not being considered as a passport to their jobs.
What early, lightweight experiment can you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?
We can try to collaborate MOOCs with the local university here and see whether the student can learn from it and apply these skills in the real world situations. This can be done through internships.
What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?
Positive criticism can greatly help in refining this idea.
