Whilst the Manchester OpenIDEO team interviewed each other to find out what has helped us change our own behavior, a really interesting idea came out:
Similar to Pavlovian conditioning, one of our team uses an enjoyable activity with a healthy action to encourage exercise. This both motivates and helps to a build routine.
What if this could be applied to other areas of healthy living too, like having a healthier snack or taking the stairs instead of the elevator?
What other methods of incentivisation could help promote a healthier lifestyle?
