Who is the target audience for your idea and how does it inspire the end user to lead a healthier life?

Target audience: ethnically homogeneous communities who still focus on preserving their heritage. Information that could be delivered via an app or website or even community center that offers healthy substitutes for ingredients or whole traditional recipes. It could expand to include community engagement in revising/making successful substitutions.

Swappetizer is a healthy food resource distributed via app/website/printed material that provides healthy alternatives to ingredients in traditional meals. In addition, it could be expanded to engage the community to offer suggestions that have been proven to work.

What skills, input or guidance are you keen to connect with from the OpenIDEO community to help you build out or refine your idea?

Does this seem like a valid idea? Does anyone have data on app/website usage within ethnic communities? Are there any insights into the likelihood that homogeneous communities will embrace change in the face of preservation of traditions, whether they are related to food or other?

There is currently a tv programme on channel 4 about smart foods which would give ideas on what you could swap foods to.
