What challenges or opportunities are you trying to address within the problem? (200 characters or less)
1. It's not easy for some people at the moment when they sit down and stand up
2. If they go outside how to minimize the pain caused by walking. Besides, how to help them storage items.
I found an elder woman tried to sit down a little hardly in Henan Provincial People's Hospital.
In the elderly apartment, I volunteered for 2 days. One afternoon, I found some seniors sitting in their wheelchairs chatting, so I joined them. The gray person was me. In the process, I found that one of the old people bent over to get the water cup which was under the seat difficultly, so I think we can find a better way for them to use easily and clearly.
That's a sketch to show my idea. Which two main part I made the improvement.
Firstly, rotatable cushion to help them sit down and stand up much easier.
Secondly storage drawer under the seat to see and pick items much clear .
It's the skill support.
The electric push rod rotates can give the chair cushion strength support when it is rotating.
And the ratio of this figure is 1:4 . Considering the body size of the Chinese elderly determines the length, width and height. And when people sit down ,according to their height, the length of the arm naturally hangs down, which determines the drawer height.
Here is the computer modeling using Rhino.
Firstly, rotatable cushion to help them sit down and stand up much easier. Secondly storage drawer under the seat to see and pick items much clear .
