How does your research relate to the Challenge?

The is the map that captured the contents of the interview with the registered nurse.

Tell us about your research:

This is my friend who worked in public hospital as registered nurse. I called her and explained to her that I want to do some research and have better understanding on the medical treatment of Osteoporsis. I have conducted a phone interview with her and she shared her thoughts & experience with me.

What is an insight, question, or provocation that might inspire others during this challenge?

1) How might we judge doctors & nurses the ways they investigate the cause of a bone fracture? 2) How might we know which root cause is the most critical among other root cause of bone fracture? 3) How might we inspire patients with bone fracture to have self discipline for medication & regular exercises? 4) How might we support patients to build a network/buddy system to do exercises together & caring of each other?

Tell us about yourself

I am the Chapter Organizer for OpenIDEO Hong Kong Chapter. I found this topic & research very interesting & relevant to all of us.

Thanks Ivy Chiu for sharing your insights in the Research Phase! What ideas did your findings spark? Now is the time to share them in the Ideas Phase!

As you work on your submission, be sure to check out the following resources:
1] Challenge Personas and Journey Map: These stories provide a window into the lives of older adults and the health system, for which you are designing
2] Resources Page: This collection of resources spans osteoporosis, designing for health, and the Challenge process to support you in crafting your submission.
3] Evaluation Criteria: This is the criteria against which we will be evaluating your ideas. We highly suggest revisiting this throughout the Challenge process.
Here is the page:
