How might reimagine the point of diagnosis and a new form of the clinic, that encourages action while limiting fear and providing a sense of comfort?


How might reimagine the point of diagnosis and a new form of the clinic, that encourages action while limiting fear and providing a sense of comfort? 


The challenges we are tackling are the expensive, untransparent, and impersonal factors of out of patient clinics. The users that are not encouraged to take on the next steps further exacerbates the fear as well as trust in their healthcare.


The goal is to provide the confident roadmap, be aware of the challenges that your doctors will be with you along the process. Using cloud-based technology to support your care by creating a personal profile that is supported by human-centered design which includes features such as a simple health checklist, gait analysis, a journey map since birth. 


The metrics and information will be used to incentive methods for patients to lower healthcare risk to potentially lower insurance rates the same way auto insurance is lowered by taking defensive driving courses. 


We will create a financial model to benefit patients by removing unnecessary overhead such as large buildings and a large medical staff but rather a small medical staff supported with highly trained health coaches. 


This approach will ease stress and tension both on the financial and clinic experience. We call changing a negative point as a pivot point for an approachable and understandable future. We will limit medical jargon and direct you to a specialist as the needs arise because our focus is to partner with great specialists in their field without creating more services in house.

Who is your target end user and why will they be interested? (650 characters or less)

Our primary stakeholders in order to gain buy-in are the health care providers. Their goal is to provide the best patient experience, easily explain diagnosis, and provide simplified next steps for the patient. The end user is the patient who will have a better understanding of their diagnosis, all of their health systems are connected, and have a roadmap for living with osteoporosis.

How is your idea scaleable? (650 characters or less)

The root of the concept is redesigning medical clinics. Many patients in metro areas have access to clinics, the scalability is more around adoption of clinics. The incorporation of healthcare coaches, adoption of healthcare cloud technology, and development of patient care roadmaps and checklist, and gait analysis are the main elements of the solution. The potential challenges with adoption is the cost of additional headcount for coaches, purchase and implementation of cloud healthcare solutions, and gait analysis equipment.

Hi Chantale Levert Hedgeman ,
This is a big idea, a radical change that would be a challenge to execute! But you've touched upon a key factor in post-first fracture experience, particularly with older people. The idea of being infirm, of losing independence, of not being "the same as I was before" is very real and a huge barrier for some people that doesn't get addressed to the extent it should. Thanks for bringing it more to the forefront!
