What challenges or opportunities are you trying to address within the problem? (200 characters or less)

We can tweak our AI tool to make that usable by seniors. They can easily express their problems, get help from doctors and family, speak with others to share their emotions. We can strengthen people!

euphorAI: Observe yourself, Produce elation and Share happiness.

What We Do

We introduce a revolutionary method to measure, forecast, and prevent stress and anxiety by using mobile and wearable devices data and implementing artificial intelligence. Our app suggests relieving activities like changing a routine, visiting places, and contacting friends and families. Moreover, we introduce an anonymous chat system specifically for reducing stress through self-expression.

Euphrai is about calculation and prediction. The artificial intelligent tool uses machine learning to analyze the previous data and predict a possibly difficult situation. This situation can vary from a difficult step, an activity like cooking which has caused pain in bones in the last experiences, increasing stress (and causing rush which results in a fall), or any other such things. The brilliant thing about an integrated AI tool is that the experiences can be shared among users. So, the tool learns from all the users and provides suggestions for individuals.

euphorai comes with a messaging system. The greatest advantage of our system is that it uses stress data as a metric to measure how the conversations, either with family and friend or with an absolute stranger, is helping with reducing stress and provides happiness. Many seniors have a great desire to share their experiences with younger generations and help them. This brings mutual benefits. At the same time, we can use AI to monitor and control connections to avoid empathic problems. In this aspect, euphoria can provide mental aid to people with aging problems.

euphorai can detect the locations, activities, moves, and other conditions where the fracture has occurred. First of all, we can alert the rest of our users to avoid such situations. After the first tragedy, the patient would need extra care to avoid certain jobs. For instance, a gentleman decides to visit his granddaughter at school. Our data indicate that the school entrance has some difficult steps. Our tool warns the gentleman that with his broken leg, maybe he should meet her granddaughter in their home which is very convenient to enter and they will have some great time together.
In the next steps, we can indirectly monitor how much pain is felt, by monitoring the stress data, we can pass this information to the doctors, so they can make a proper decision about that.

We designed the app for people who cannot use their cell phone at all! the smart devices collect data and send it to our server, and the doctor and family can control the dashboard. However, if they are willing to express their pains and problem, they can simply identify their pain on the avatar (please see the attached picture).

A specific aspect of our tool is that it needs minimum manual input by the user. In the later stages, we will use image processing to identify the user's emotion just by taking a selfie. The cell phone's GPS and motion sensor can be used to collect movement and ....We will use these awesome technologies to make our tool usable by any person.
We will do all it takes to make our customers and their families sure that we not going to make money by selling their personal data. This is a crucial step in gaining customer's trust.

So Far:

3rd place in Health Hacks Medical Innovation Competition: Meet Veterans' needs, 2018.

Finalist of VCU Demo day/Pre-Accelerator Program.

Selected startup for Virginia Shark Tank Competition.

Conducting interviews for customer discovery.

We have purchased 4 Fitbit devices and data is being collected.

Horizontal prototyping: we have designed our app, you can request a demo from our website:

Vertical prototyping: a Fitbit application is submitted for data collection, ML algorithms and a web app are developed to analyze data.

Stablishing social Media presence.

winning more than 5500$ from different competitions.

To Come:

Beta Launch

Hiring ML engineers.

Analyzing customer feedback.

Public Launch

Who is your target end user and why will they be interested? (650 characters or less)

We try to make our system very user-friendly, especially for people with less experience in technology. Doctors, health systems, and family can monitor the health state using a comprehensive dashboard.

How is your idea scaleable? (650 characters or less)

There is absolutely no boundary for expanding the system. In fact, the more user we have the more precise would be our predictions.

What do/will you measure to know if your solution worked? (500 characters or less)

We continuously measure the customer satisfaction using the collected data.

What is the current stage of development of your idea?

  • Prototype: We have done some small tests or experiments with prospective users to continue developing the idea.

If you were to become a Top Idea, would you want to actively participate in piloting your idea?

  • I want my idea piloted, and I prefer to do my own piloting in collaboration with the health system and with assistance from the Challenge partner

Company / Organization Name, if applicable (140 characters or less)

Website (if applicable)

Tell us about yourself or your team (500 characters or less)

Neda Ojaghlou, Chemical Physicist Ph.D. candidate: CEO & Co-founder Dr. Mahdi Shafiei, Computational biochemist, Data scientist: CTO & Co-founder We are a data science team with a deep scientific background in science and hands-on experience in technology development. We have won several awards so far for our startup:Euphorai. Still, we can tweak our app to help with osteoporosis.

Location (50 characters)

Richmond, VA.

What is your legal / organizational structure?

  • We are a startup at an early stage.

Innovator/Organizational Characteristics

  • Female-led organization
  • Women’s health/rights focused organization
  • Disabled Persons organization (DPO)
  • Youth-led organization
  • Veteran-led organization

How did you hear about the Challenge?

  • Direct email invitation

Why are you participating in this Challenge?

We have made the foundation of our behavioral modification health system. Still, we need fund and support for making our system. We can go to any direction in the health system now depending on the sector that is interested in using our service.

Hi Mehdi Shafiei
Thank you for being super-active through the Ideas Phase of the Healthy Bones Challenge.
I am excited to see your progress through this phase. Great work!
Please make any last minute tweaks you wish to, asap- like adding images or changes in text.
The DEADLINE for idea submission is Wednesday July 3rd, 2019 5pm PST.

A CHECKLIST to guide you is here:
Please make sure your idea does the following:
1) Clearly define the problem
2) Connects to at least one opportunity area
3) States how & when user accesses the solution
4) Tells the story

Let me know if you need anything.
All the best for the next phase of the challenge.
