Addressing the inequality feelings through acknowledging the diversity of skills, remunerations and experiences among staff at a Workplace.

It is common to have diversity of skills, remunerations and experiences at working places. This diversity is what sums multi-task operations into a common success for the organization.

I interviewed someone from an organization employing Directors, Managers, Officers, Office Attendants, Secretaries and Gate Keepers, falling in different departments. 

I learned from the respondent that, within an organization there were people with diverse skills, responsibilities, remunerations and experiences. However, these differences create a feeling of inferiority and superiority.

It is my intention to have these addresed through occasional exchange of skills, remunerations and experiences at workplaces.   

What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?

At a workplace, diversities are nothing if at all acknowledged with gratitude. As staff working through different departments with diverse skills, experiences, and remunerations are after realizing the same goal of the organization employing them. The role of everybody in the organization should be respected and acknowledged as an important contribution to reaching the goal of the organization employing people with diverse skills, titles, remunerations and experiences, as it is not idea to have workers with same skills, responsibilities, remunerations and experiences at a working place.

This research was conducted by Sadam Matsawili, a researcher and entrepreneur who have been working with a research firm - EDI Ltd for over 5 years; as an Interviewer, Data Processing Officer, Project Coordinator, and Assistant Operations Manager who is learning to be a good leader and employer.
