Gratitude to me, is making others aware of how much you appreciate them and all that they do. I express gratitude by saying thank you, writing thank you notes, explaining impact and so much more. I received gratitude from my boss at the end of my internship. To me it seemed like just routine tasks I was doing, but my boss always reminded me of how much she appreciates my work and thanked me for it. This alone increased morale and made me enjoy doing my job even more. For me, it was the little things that made it worth it because feeling appreciated is a great feeling. Reflecting back on that experience, I feel like their were incidents in which I could have expressed more gratitude. And I know now for the future that you can never be too grateful. Gratefulness is something that benefits both parties, so I find it obscure that people don't express gratitude more often. By making others around you feel better, it makes you feel better as a person. In times like these we need to uplift one another and remind each other of why we need one another to be the best we can be.
