CheerYourPeer is a software that analyses the reciprocal support of individuals within a team by measuring their degree of collaboration. Based on a correlation of messages, attended meetings and shared docs (…), the software is able to analyse the impact of the collaboration of two or more individuals on another’s goal achievements. The concept relies on the idea that the lack of expressing gratitude in a workspace can result from the lack of identifying the own impact and support on other people’s goals but also the impact and support of team members on one's personal goal. The interface is like a project management dashboard providing an overview of one's overall support score within your company/department/team or of project-specific scores. Also, one could see his/her "biggest supporter" and impacter (correlation of peers that cheered you the most and had the biggest impact on your work). The software is automated, interconnected with shared workplace interfaces (..) and project management tools and hence, no data needs to be entered manually in oder to update and run the dashboard. However, people can thank each other for their support by ‘cheering’ each other manually. You can cheer members of your team or your overall "biggest supporter". Cheering is comparable to a ‘Like’ (Facebook) or a ‘Clap’ (Medium) but is only visible to the person that has been cheered. The idea is not to have any rankings or competition on who has a greater impact on other people’s work or achievement but rather to provide an overview of how your team strengthens your own abilities and achievements.
The software provides an overview of:
- one’s support (score) on other peers’ achievement of the overall goal (project)
- one’s support (score) on the team’s achievement of the overall goal (project)
- one’s average support (score) on achievement of overall goals (all projects completed)
- one’s biggest supporters (correlation of ‘cheers’ by them and their support score on one’s goals)
