Real work experience constantly gets updated as internship/school credit - even if you're not enrolled.

All the work you do should count as college credit/internship credit - for when you want to enroll/re-enroll, to save money and time.

Work you do should count - as core credits, and/or electives.

If your work over the years is documented, and/or explained - it can be used as college credit.

This would be less classes you need to take.

- Maybe you blogged, took pictures, DIY videos, etc - of your work.  This shows you looked at in with an analytical mind, up to this point.

Specifically, please check all that apply:

  • A group brainstorm
  • An Individual
  • An OpenIDEO Outpost or Chapter
  • A classroom or academic assignment

Tell us about your work experience:

Various jobs, shows, classes, festivals/conferences... Grad School too.

What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?

To know their work/time/life experience up to this point isn't wasted.

Good post. This is why I think badges and portfolios should replace grades and transcripts, so that all the things you learn throughout your life can be shared in one place. Check out my post: https://challenges.openideo.com/challenge/future-of-highered/research/reducing-fear-of-failure
