How might we create an online experience that easily allow higher education faculty navigate available technologies?

Navigating technologies is not an easy task. Many faculty know that something exists, but how do they go about in learning more?

A platform where faculty can share how they are using technology in the classroom.

Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine higher education to support the needs of tomorrow?

My idea is for faculty within a single institution and faculty across institutions. It is a place to explore how other faculty at universities integrate technology into the classroom.

This idea emerged from:

  • An individual

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

What does the entry point to an online experience like this look like? What if the faculty member knows what they are looking for, but may not know how to articulate it?

Tell us about your work experience:

Instructional designer, academic technologist, other positions in higher education.

Hey Jill!

Just a thought, but what if nearby colleges could share certain technology? Now that I think about it, colleges aren't always using their classrooms 100% of the time.

Makerspaces Creating labs which mirror daily work environment of professions enables students to make an informed decision on career objective & major could both be something you look at to expand your idea more!
