High school youth entrepreneurship training for poverty alleviation

This idea is designed for teach students on how to write a business plan & offer prizes to winners to promote their projects/business.

Project Summary

The aim of this idea is to prepare students in entrepreneurship. The specific goal is to provide entrepreneurship education, write a business plan, and provide other skills necessary to successfully start their own business.

Project problem

Poverty is a risk for children’s poor development and limited educational outcomes, and it may be that risk in the early years will continue to effect to the family moves out of poverty later in the child’s life a report of the Southern Education Foundation show that 22 percent of the children in the U.S. live at below poverty level. American Graduate defines poverty as a family of four with an annual income level of $23,050 or lower. Finding ways of reducing poverty is essential for children’s education and economic growth to be sufficient.

Learn from experiment (Insights)

In our research phase we learned that the lack of a system to prepare young students in entrepreneurship during the schools is one of the major cause contributing to the continued existence of the problem of poverty, students finished their school without the skills that would help them in their later life, the existence of the problem of poverty has the effects to children academically, Lack of jobs and money that could make youths to involved in crime

How will this idea solve the problem

The idea will provide entrepreneurship education, write a business plan, and provide other skills necessary to successfully start their own business. Young students are trained on entrepreneurship, how to write business plan and other skills necessary to successfully start their own business.

Potential Long-Term Impact

Young students are prepared well in entrepreneurship, knowingly preparing business plans, currently they have the skills in commercial and projects, poverty has decreased, the children read and succeed well in education, no young people who is unemployed, we have young people who are doing productive activities and raising the national economy.

Who is your idea designed for and how does it reimagine higher education to support the needs of tomorrow?

The idea designed for school children of primary and secondary schools for higher education performance. The idea will provide entrepreneurship education, write a business plan, and provide other skills necessary to successfully start their own business. Young students are trained on entrepreneurship, how to write business plan and other skills necessary to successfully start their own business. Because what they learn at school has an important during their school years and in their later life.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Provide entrepreneurship education, write a business plan, and provide other skills necessary to successfully start their own business. Young students are trained on entrepreneurship, how to write business plan and other skills necessary to successfully start their own business to more than 1,000 stundents.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

The weight of this idea lies in the community level so I will go to the community to prototype my idea and get the feedback from the community. I will invite the community to attend to the meeting of prototyping; during to the meeting I will explain the whole program of this idea, Then I will lead the brainstorming session by using the Human Centered Design system to get the feedback from the community.

Hi. Japhet, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you for designing this idea. This idea will help young students to empower self-employment later.

As I have been encouraging students to have an attitude of self-employment. Young people who have chanced to meet them after review this idea, many have said they would like to receive training of writing business plan.

The great sound was lies in the Business of establish small manufacturing of making shoes, bee-keeping, establish the gardens of vegetables and fruits, and chickens keeping and fish.

This will make school students to be a good business persons, will help to encrease school children performance.

Hi. Sifa; Thank you, for your comments with your efforts was done to encourage young students to participate in entrepreneurship, this surely our strategy is to prepare young students in entrepreneurship for self-employment after completing their higher education.
I woul like to know from you, how many students have you meet? Are they are in level three to four?, Are in interested in taking a training to develop the skills to raun they are business?,Are they in interested in participating in an after school activity to develop the skills to run they are project?

I meet with the students in their classroom of form four. Yes they are interested to take a training to develop the skills to raun they are business. they are in interested of participating in an after school activity to develop the skills to run they are project. Many have expressed willingness to engage with entrepreneurship in the following areas such as Chickens, Bee-keeping, shoes manufacturing, agriculture of vegetables and fruits. These activities may allow them to do in school and after school, because does not stopping them in studies.
