My idea is for a platform with short audio learning chunks of different lengths lasting from 5 to 15 minutes. They are short learning podcasts from industry experts, pitches for ideas, insights from alumni, personal perspectives, alumni etc.
Users can create playlists of audios for themselves or for others or use pre-selected playlists and share them.
I can't develop this idea but if someone wants to feel free to build on this idea and post a new idea focused on 'anytime, anywhere' learning.
Could this be used by lecturers to create playlists to share with students (e.g. audios of different personal accounts from a natural or man-made disaster)?
Could this be used by all students to learn about people in careers allied to their interests and about the latest developments in these sectors?
Could this be used by all students and/or their mentors to produce ‘personalised’ experiences for them based on their needs? (e.g. if a student is at risk of dropping out, their mentors could create a podcast of stories of people in a similar situation and of advice networks they could reach out to)
Could this be used by lifelong learners to up skill and help them if they are considering changing careers?
Could this be used by high school students to prepare for college?
Could this be used for user-generated content, e.g. could a student studying at Berkley create a 5-minute audio on life on campus for prospective college students?
Would users pay an institution subscription e.g. one-year membership for Nottingham University for all academic staff and students to upload and share content?
Would this be pay-as-you-go?
What would be the first target group?
