Describe your relationship to the place you’ve selected.
There is a unique history between Plateau, Benue, and Nasarawa States; before the split, they all were known as the Benue-Plateau with Jos as their capital. its was then split into Plateau and Benue States on February 3rd 1976 with Jos and Makurdi as their respective capitals. On October 1st 1996, Nasarawa was formed out of Plateau State with Lafia as its capital. Despite the split, they all have their cultural heritages and values interwoven and traceable to present day Plateau State.
Abuja capital shares boundaries with these three states. The thriving civic development trend in Abuja has seen most of its arable lands given to real estate and other infrastructural amenities. Hence food production within Abuja is insufficient as not much commercial farming is done. The trio of Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa States, supply a large chunk of the food consumed in Abuja. Thus there is a high level of inter-dependency and synergy between all four (Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa States and Abuja capial) and as such could be grouped as a single unit.
