Our group members all live in Guangdong and have a better understanding of Guangdong's local food culture. At the same time, Guangdong has a relatively high acceptance of novel ingredients, which is suitable for the development of our insect food.

Cantonese will try many new and weird ingredients.This is closely related to Guangdong's food culture and geographical environment.A culture of food supplementation has formed in Guangdong. They believe that certain insects have a certain nourishing effect. Frequent consumption of these insects can strengthen the body and prevent diseases, so a dietary habit of eating various insects has been formed.

Due to the continuous development of industrialization and the current environmental degradation, there is an urgent need to reduce environmental pressure in many ways. As the current food output can meet the needs of most people, there is a large amount of food waste in the diet, but the poor people in some areas are extremely lacking in food, forming a polarization situation. Economically speaking, the current food production chain is solidified and the new production and sales trend is too weak. New technologies have been developed for a long time, but many technologies have not been put on the market in large quantities. Some national policies have relatively weak supervision over food. In the future, the food system will mainly face the situation of reduced environmental resources and how to make adjustments. People's diets change because of changes in food. New food manufacturing will break the traditional food economic pattern. Some groups are resistant to the new diet. The development of technology will lead to the situation of flooding and non-compliance. National policies also need to adjust to changes in the food system.

Utilize the redesign of insect food, add new service system, integrate into people's diet, and from food production to post-consumer.The design is in line with the sustainable food development trend in the future, and the system model of the food is also suitable for replication to some other regions.The process from insect breeding to production is a relatively low-consumption industrial chain, which alleviates the pressure on the environment to a certain extent. At the same time, insects have high nutritional value. By eating a small amount of food and absorbing a large amount of nutrients, it can reduce the amount of food that can be eaten Wasteful situation.

Regarding the popularization of insect food, this will be a subversive change in the regional dietary culture, which will change the dietary structure of local people. From traditionally farmed animals such as chickens, sheep, cows and other animals to insects, this is a novel It is also a long process. Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?
Our design point is mainly for the export of insect food. We chose the shape of cricket. Because the biggest obstacle for insects is its shape and appearance, which makes it easier for people to accept this type of product, we finally designed this type of packaging. As well as extracting the nutritional value of pupae and adding them to food, we have achieved our vision. We also believe that people will accept insect food in the future.
