it is the village where seat of our general assembly. the 3ha site belongs to us and we carry out most of our activities there. Yaoundé is just the seat of the Coordination of Programs because there is more ease of international communication

The headquarters of the project is located in Mengbwa, village of the members of our association. It is in the commune of Zoétélé in the department of Dja and Lobo, South Region. Located a hundred kilometers from Yaoundé, Zoétélé covers an area of approximately 1,644 km2. It is a dense forest area of semi-deciduous type of medium altitude, with 50,000 inhabitants who live on family farming, artisanal fishing, small farming, hunting and gathering. The industrial oil palm, pineapple and rubber plantations are represented by large firms controlled by the local elite
Because of their high cost and the difficulty of accessing young chicks, piglets and fry on local markets, poultry farming activities, which nevertheless have great potential for job creation and generation of income, are practiced by very few peasants in the district of Zoétele.
In addition, a high malnutrition rate is observed in the population of Zoétele due to deficiencies in important protein sources such as eggs and chicken meat. Indeed, due to its high cost, less than 10% of the population eats one egg per month and chicken and pork meat is only eaten on holidays (Easter and Christmas).
Lack of employment creates exaggerated rural exodus among young people and women.
Zoetele is located in the area of Cameroon which has the highest rate of HIV (7.2%).
The family business is characterized by the sale of products from agriculture and small crafts. The overwhelming majority of Christians eat any food without known prohibition
What is the estimated population (current 2020) in your Place?
Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.
The zoetele zone between 2020 and 2050 wants to exploit the potential of agro-industry to support the
structural transformation at local level. Zoetele has considerable potential in agro-industry which is still under exploited. However, the effective exploitation of the potential of agro-industry is a necessity for the structural transformation of the economic fabric of the area.
In this perspective, the exploitation of the potential of the agro-industry will contribute to economic diversification, a guarantee of economic stability in the face of instabilities in the local and national market for raw materials.
Thus, the development of the agro-industry
will help guarantee the supply of inputs to the agricultural sector and connect the latter to consumers through manipulation,
processing, transport and marketing of agricultural and livestock products. There is therefore a strong synergy between the development of agro-industry and agricultural performance as an instrument of economic development. Indeed, a dynamic agro-industry
and efficient will stimulate local agricultural growth which in turn stimulates the growth of other sectors of the economy at the local level.
However, an effective operating policy

Zoétele should integrate the existence of difficulties linked to insufficient infrastructure, access to finance, access to technology, access to land and difficulties linked to security and an unfavorable business climate .
Discussions are underway in favor of diversified and socially inclusive growth through the development of agro-industry.

- capacity building and agribusiness performance

this project will increase agribusiness in the locality and offer opportunities for access to employment. He will directly set up a value chain which brings together the supplier, the producer, the processor and the actors involved in marketing to the final consumer.
It is an agricultural farm that produces and sells day-old chicks, piglets, fry, fruit plants, feed and livestock accessories for producers and other farmers, and chicken, pork and freshwater fish , fruit and fruit juices for direct cosumers. So many job opportunities for the populations to boost the local economy.
this project has the advantages of fish farming integrated with plant and animal production on a farm.
Activities can be diversified by growing different kinds of agricultural, plant and animal products. The different activities are integrated if the residues from one activity are used for the production of another plant or animal product. For example, animal manure can be used to improve soil fertility and increase plant growth. Animal manure can also be used to fertilize a pond and increase fish production. The production is higher in an integrated farm as a farm where activities are carried out separately.
Production costs are reduced by using the by-products (eg stems and leaves) of other farm activities for fish farming. These byproducts come back much less
expensive than the food bought.
The advantages of integrated farming are:
- waste reduction, improving local líenvironnement.
- Reduction in the need for chemical fertilizers, which increases the benefits by reducing costs.
- Increased production of fish and vegetables, increasing household consumption or income.
- reduced dependence vis-à-vis external production inputs, which increases the stability of the firm.

There are many environmental benefits:
- A soil structure improved by the mud at the bottom of the pond used as fertilizer leads to an improvement in water retention and
a reduction in erosion.

- use plant and animal byproducts to fertilize soil for plant production as natural fertilizer and increase the quantity of food
- Some fish can be fed directly with plant residues.

High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.
The project will increase:
- Promotion of entrepreneurship for young people who are starting an economic activity generating
income. This support center for young people to create businesses will strengthen and redirect towards more support for the creation of agro-industrial businesses in the locality
- The transformation strategy will stimulate and strengthen agricultural transformation activities in the area. It will reduce food and nutritional insecurity by four
essential channels namely the reduction of
post-harvest losses, the extension of the durations of
conservation of agricultural products, enhancement of agricultural products and improvement
food quality and safety
- Support for the dissemination of technologies with capacity building for farmers
- a resilient infrastructure, to promote sustainable industrialization that benefits everyone and encourage innovation.
Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?
This project will promote agriculture in general and agro-industry in particular which is considered a privileged sector to ensure the structural transformation and economic development of a forest locality
The growth of this agricultural sector in the locality will have repercussions on development via other indirect effects, by which agriculture stimulates the growth of other sectors of the economy. The important place of agriculture in the locality will be highlighted by the transformation which is written in the "Agenda 2063", and at the international level the Program of sustainable development for 2030 and its objectives of sustainable development (SDG) of the United Nations General Assembly '' 2030 Agenda ''.
The main objective of this project is to establish inclusive growth, sustainable development and peace through access to employment for young people.
Local security clearly recognizes the central role of agriculture in sustainable development, food security, improving the living conditions of the poor, and finally sustainable economic growth through industrialization and industrial diversification. In addition, the performance of agriculture in general as an instrument of development is highly dependent on agro-industry. An efficient and dynamic agro-industry stimulates agricultural growth (World Bank, 2008). Agribusiness is defined as all of companies that do in the transformation of raw materials and intermediate products
derived from the agricultural sector (FAO, 1997).
Thus, to capitalize and channel the agricultural potential of this project towards a economic development, agro-industry which is an essential link in the chains of agrifood value, offers great industrialization possibilities based on basic products. It involves a supply inputs needed for agricultural production, optimization through modernization of the agricultural production apparatus, infrastructure development and transformation adapted to market demand. It thus exists great synergies between agro-industry and the performance of agriculture as a vehicle for development. An agro-industrial development strategy involving higher added value and higher productivity growth across the board of the value chain system, represents one of the best opportunities to reach economic growth and creation of wealth as well as poverty reduction to Zoétele.
In addition to the improvement income and job creation that the
development of the agro-industry can generate in the locality see the country, this sector could also be used as lever for a true structural transformation of the economies of the sub-region. The development of agribusiness will reduce food dependence on outside the sub-region and resources formerly spent on food imports, can be used for other activities.
In view of the potential of the agricultural sector in Zoetele, the capacity of agro-business will improve the economic development of the countries of the sub-region, zoetele being located on the axis of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea
