Amadi Ama is a small community made of over 5,000 people

What country is your selected Place located in?

Rivers state. Nigeria

Describe your relationship to the place you’ve selected.

I selected this community because, I have several project and I have seen the challenges this community is facing especially the area of hunger. I am live in this community

Describe the People and Place: Provide information that would be helpful for an outsider who has never been there and may have no context about this Place to better understand the area.

Amadi Ama is a waterfront community that is made up of people from tribes and tradition. Most of the people there are fishermen and farmers. But because of the polluted water, the fishermen have lost their job, the kids are Malnutritcious lack of medical care and no education. This community is abandoned because of the criminality there, there is extreme poverty there.

What is the estimated population (current 2020) in your Place?


Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.

The challenges are the rivers are polluted, no jobs, no medical care and no lands for the farmers

Address the Challenges: Describe how your Vision will address the challenges described in the previous question.

The vision will address the challenges because if we can address the issues in this communities, there will be alot of food supply, there will be job and hunger will be eradicated

High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.

Their lives will be much better, if we can address this issues in 2020, the rate of hunger and poverty will be greatly eradicated because they will be empowered to take care of themselves and their families.

Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?

With this vision we have erased poverty and hunger in that community and other community. There will be alot of food supply and distribution in the near by communities.
