Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City , located in Kailali district of Nepal , covers the area of 271.74 Km^2

Describe your relationship to the place you’ve selected.
This is my home town and working place. I am closely connected with the people of the city. I had learned various health related problems prevailing in these cities. The economic status of the people are very high to very low. Food from the hotels and the ceremonies which are good to eat are wasted in once place while some people are sleeping in empty stomach. Student going to school are suffering from hidden hunger because of lack of nutritious mid day meal. We want to help those people who are in need.
Describe the People and Place: Provide information that would be helpful for an outsider who has never been there and may have no context about this Place to better understand the area.
The city is geographically plain and divided into 19 wards. It is surrounded by Kailari Rural Municipality in the east, Mohana River in the west, Godawari and Gauriganga Municipality in the north and India in the south.
The social dynamics , cultural traditions, language and ethnic diversity of the community is unique over here. Along with that we are interested in the effect of diet on the health of populations.
What is the estimated population (current 2020) in your Place?
Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.
There are 73 government schools and about 140 private schools in Dhangadhi. Children from low socioeconomic status goes to government. They just rely on home food for 8 hours in the schools without any mid-day meal. Food banking would be helpful for such children. Hunger during the class session are the main reason for low concentration and poor performance in the school. Connecting those schools for mid-day meal would be helpful for those children. Moreover people who could not afford the food on daily basis for their health , they will be provided food for low or no cost.
Food which are about to be wasted but cannot be used will be taken from various hotels and programs. Hotels are the best medium for providing the food to food bank so far I think. Along with that departmental stores food can also be utilized.They will be preserved and given to the needy people.
Food bank will be the communicating with various farm and agricultural industries where surplus food which can be consumed but not necessary can be used.
The future challenges will be continuation of the food bank. It will be elaborated to the other municipalities and provinces so the overall hunger and malnutrition can be reduced from the country.

The world is full of challenges and even the food system is challenging. If we could just could manage the food system of the community or the country the whole country will be healthy. Some people are wasting food some are not getting. We need to create the balance system . Food bank will be working as a balance bridge for those people.
High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.
Malnutrition will be decreased in the different age group populations.
Healthy lifestyle will be maintained.
Education will be provided regarding healthy food and exercises.
People will have healthy and satisfied life.
Food wastage will be decreased.
People will respect their food.

Respect food is the most important themes and be organic. Eat healthy to live healthy. If we can get , we need to give must be our motto. We can address the different diversified group of people and ability to work and involve themselves for the healthy food system.
