Zambia is a country in  central Africa with a stable government  that is ideal to launch the GrowNut concept.

What is the estimated population (current 2020) in your Place?

Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.

Peanuts are cultivated in most African Countries.  The  Peanut plants are drought resistant  and can be planted without any fertiliser  decause it can fix nitrogen from the air. Local people plant and harvest it by hand and is ideal for job creation.

African people are used to consume peanuts as food  and mix it into their porridge  or marogo.

Almost 50 persent  of the peanuts are pressed for the oil that are used as cooking oil. The oilcake contains 48 persent protein and are currently wasted.

The GrowNut concept  make it possible to utilise  the  oilcake  to enrich any local porridge  like Maize Sorghum Millet or Cassava  with Peanut Protein.  This innovation  can solve the Stunting and  Malnutrition  that occurs due to the lack of protein.

The process is easy and replicable. It can be processed  in any village  because the oil can be converted into Biodiesel  to generate fuel for the Processing Plant.

One ton of peanuts  can produce  24 000 GrowNut  servings of 100g  plus  350 lt Bio-diesel.

The extrution process has the following advantage :

1.  The peanut/ maize blend are precooked with friction that are economic viable.

2.  All  E-coli  Salmonella  or mold  are sterilized in the cooking process.

3.  Aflatoxin  are reduced by up to 50 persent.

4.  All free moisture evaporate  after the extrution process that gives a dry product with a long shelf life.

5.  All essential amino acids  vitamins and minerals are added before packaging.

Address the Challenges: Describe how your Vision will address the challenges described in the previous question.

Our biggest challenge is to get the Intellectual property  into Africa  without losing  everything.  The problem is that African Countries does not protect IP.

Our vision is that every African country can be self sustainable with high protein porridge and less dependant on US aid.

We need a Big Brother like the Rochefeller Trust  to out roll the GrowNut concept  in Africa  and the rest of the world.

High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.

The Stunting of children can be solved during the first 1000 days.

The pregnant women can benefit from GrowNut porridge  that contains 17 persent protein to give birth to a well developed baby.

The newborn baby  will consume Peanut Protein  via the breast milk.

The infant can easily be weaned on GrowNut porridge  because it is palatable with a natural peanut taste.

The toddler  can grow to his/ her full potential  with all the essential amino acids  vitamins and minerals.

Peanut Protein  are prescribed for diabetes  because it regulates the blood sugar levels.

GrowNut  porridge has a long shelf life and can easily be consumed by just adding boiled water or milk.

Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?

Twenty one million ton of peanut oilcake with 48 per sent protein are wasted annually. With the GrowNut concept these huge protein source can be utilized to enrich local porridge  that contains less than 10 persent protein.

The GrowNut porridge has a two year shelf life if properly packed and can contribute to food security.

The Bio-diesel  from peanuts are green and renewable with no carbon footprint.
