The whole of Zambia. Zambia has an average population of 17,000,000

What country is your selected Place located in?


Describe your relationship to the place you’ve selected.

It is my home country and therefore important to me. I'm connected because I have lived here all my life and care about this country. I would also like to change the high levels of poverty here, whilst caring for the environment too

Describe the People and Place: Provide information that would be helpful for an outsider who has never been there and may have no context about this Place to better understand the area.

Zambia is a third world country with most people living in abject poverty. Food/nutrition is scarce and most people are illiterate. This has contributed to high poverty levels and very little knowledge on best practices when it comes to environmental protection

What is the estimated population (current 2020) in your Place?


Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.

Land degradation and low rainfall owing to climate change Also, little support to the agriculture industry

Address the Challenges: Describe how your Vision will address the challenges described in the previous question.

Of more food is produced nutrition will improve. Also, food production creates employment. This will in turn help the employed have access to education which will foster development across all sectors. Also, as best enviroental practices are used the environment will be best taken care of thereby reducing effects of climate change world over

High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.

People will have improved health, and economic statuses leading to improved literacy levels band development across. Environmental protection willbreduce global warming

Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?

1. Environment - possible eradication of global warming 2. Diet - improved, leading to good health across 3. Economics - employment opportunities and improved income 4. Culture - decrease in donor dependency leading to cultural preservation 5. Improved agricultural practices will bring about use of beneficial technology 6. Policies to produce more food which will lead to reduction in food prices and policies to practice environment friendly activities will save the environment
