I have been studying in this area for more than 3.5 year. I also often explore this area for some matter such as research, observation, survey, or just for traveling. Then i know a lot of this area well.

Malang raya is an area which consists of Malang Resident, Malang city, and Batu city. Malang raya covers a total area of 3882 km2. This area is surrounded by many mountains such as Arjuno, Kawi, Bromo, Semeru, etc. The center of the Malang raya ( Malang city) is the second biggest city in the east java. Population in Malang raya is very high, especially in Malang city and Batu city. Then, it make this area need more food supply to fulfill food demand.
Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.
The population growth rate in Malang raya is very high. Then it needs more food supply for the community around here. Besides that, the population growth also make the land around here is getting decreased because there are so many building and infrastructure are built. Then it can decrease food production from the farm.

There will be a very high amount of food waste in Malang raya because there are so many restaurant and human activity which produce more food and organic waste. Then it can be an opportunity to be used as maggot BSF feed. Afterthat, maggot BSF production will be used as animal feed to increase animal production and reduce feed cost. Then, we can sell the animal production to the local community with an affordable price whether for inside Malang raya or outside it.
High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.
With this project, there will be an affordable food for many people. It will reduce output for the society. Because there will be more food is produced even without cost or just using food waste. Then it will make the cleaner enviroment and living place. The most importantly, it will increase food availability with less or without cost.

Our project will make the cleaner enviroment and increase food availability with less or without cost. This project has two main benefit they are food and enviroment sector. We can collaborate with local goverment to promote and offer to the community about this program and its benefit for them.
This program is very potential for the community because with the food waste we can produce more food sustainably.
