Huidong, with a total area of 3526.73 square kilometers, is the preferred seaside resort and seafood paradise in the Pearl River Delta.

Describe your relationship to the place you’ve selected.

With the development of economy, society and transportation, more and more people come to Huidong seaside to experience play and taste seafood, and the demand for seafood products increases sharply, which increases the economic income of Huidong seaside, and of course brings damage to the seaside environment. So we want to design to maintain the development of Huidong, but also to improve the environment, so that the Marine ecology can maintain sustainable development。

Describe the People and Place: Provide information that would be helpful for an outsider who has never been there and may have no context about this Place to better understand the area.

The environment: The geographical environment is superior, is located in the tropic of cancer, the land area is 3526.73 square kilometers, the sea area is 3200 square kilometers, the sea .The coastline is 218.3 km long. It is a big ocean county in guangdong province, and the first choice seaside resort and seafood paradise in the pearl river delta. Diet: Huidong county has nearly one million permanent residents, about half of whom are accustomed to hakka diet. Seafood is an important part of their daily diet。In addition, most of the local dishes are derived from hakka food, including local seafood species such as oyster east court, oyster red shore, dog claw snail, Aotou dry goods relatively well-known, but has not yet formed a unique seafood food and seafood catering brand. Economic: Huidong is a modern industrial system economy dominated by coastal tourism, clean energy and fashionable women's shoes, with local seafood related industries。Characteristic industries have not been formed. Technology: Huidong is now in the individual or collective way, in the offshore with fishing boats to manually operate the way to catch Marine products, for fishing。The industry has yet to invest in large-scale artificial intelligence and biotechnology, and automated production is still in its infancy. For garbage sorting and recycling。The system has not been set up to deal with the recovery. Policy: Every year, the fishery regularly implements the closed season. Although there is a living subsidy policy for the closed season, it is not more advantageous to the fishery economically。Support policy, from 2019 to implement the legal holidays in coastal areas odd-even license plate limited traffic policy, hope to take this to alleviate。Traffic jams in huidong coastal areas. Culture: Huidong belongs to dongjiang cuisine. Traditional dongjiang cuisine emphasizes "fat, salty, ripe and fragrant", with heavy oil and salty taste。The sauce is relatively simple, generally with raw Onions cooked garlic, coriander seasoning, very few add or even do not add overweight too thick seasoning. Huidong is。Huidong fishing songs, dance carp, Kowloon peak tan kung immortal temple (jiao) and other intangible cultural heritage folk customs and coastal people have the belief in mazu.

We hope that through the entire sustainable service process of “Xianqiyizhi” seafood restaurants, the Huidong Seafood residual value recreating experience can improve the customers’ participation in the ecology protection process, make them agree on the normalization of sustainable life style and increase the rituality of garbage sorting in daily life.

High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.

Leaded by the waste of seafood, this sustainable service process, with the future Food Technology, can improve the customers’ sense of participation and experience in the ecology protection process and raise the awareness of seafood residual value recreating. As a result, the seafood consumption will become a sustainable part of ecology protection and additionally, the public awareness of marine ecology protection and complete using of seafood will be greatly developed.

Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?

We hope that through the entire sustainable service process of “Xianqiyizhi” seafood restaurants, the Huidong Seafood residual value recreating experience can improve the customers’ participation in the ecology protection process, make them agree on the normalization of sustainable life style and increase the rituality of garbage sorting in daily life. Leaded by the waste of seafood, this sustainable service process, with the future Food Technology, can improve the customers’ sense of participation and experience in the ecology protection process and raise the awareness of seafood residual value recreating. As a result, the seafood consumption will become a sustainable part of ecology protection and additionally, the public awareness of marine ecology protection and complete using of seafood will be greatly developed. Every production process of huidong seafood is sustainable. Any seafood is valuable after being caught. We want to make the most of every seafood.
