Describe your relationship to the place you’ve selected.

As a students of Borno State University,from faculty of agriculture and department of agriculture.we intended to begin our study by starting a vision that will later be of advantage to the institution.

Describe the People and Place: Provide information that would be helpful for an outsider who has never been there and may have no context about this Place to better understand the area.

Borno State University located at the extreme corner end of Borno state along Maiduguri-Damaturu highway.Its a newly established institution that has the total population of student of about 801.It consist of highly motivated and trained lectures as well as academic facilities,it consist of four faculties with 32 programs.

What is the estimated population (current 2020) in your Place?


Challenges: Describe the current (2020) and the future (2050) challenges that your food system faces.

Presently (2020), Borno State University, Nigeria is being faced by numerous challenges that makes the food system unsustainable. In the absence of any meaningful intervention, these challenges will continue to be aggravated to foreseeable future (2050). 

Address the Challenges: Describe how your Vision will address the challenges described in the previous question.

As 2050 is heading toward,the food system vision if well and carefully implemented shall greatly influence agricultural production to the communities  targeted area.It will also provide a comprehensive knowledge about the ways of producing quality  product (free of infestation) to the community.

The 2050 food system vision will provide additional information on the problem and ways of solving agricultural challenges in developing countries .

High Level Vision: With these challenges addressed, now provide a high level description of how the Place and the lives of its People will be different than they are now.

The people would get better understanding and importance of agriculture.The student also shall themselves select a food that will be well to their health

Full Vision: How do you describe your Vision for a regenerative and nourishing food future for your Place and People for 2050?

2050 food vision contains all the required measures of adressing malnutrition and food security.
