Who is your idea designed for and how does it support the dreams and obligations of those 50 and older?

Our idea is targeted at people who are aged 50+ to help them create a balance between their finances and dreams, with an social platform for communication with each other to motivate, give advice and share experiences.

Whilst conducting primary research it became clear to our group that many people aged 50+ had problems achieving their dreams because their obligations such as Mortgages and bills are restricting them. AMBITION;  is an app that is a friendly database showing; Income, Outgoings, Remaining.  From the remaining money it helps you structure a plan contributing towards your dreams, these dreams are set by the user themselves. Alongside this the app has a Community, this community is a revised and combined version of existing social media apps. The community is where the users post, engage and motivate each other. By posting advice, achievements, and experiences people can be up to date, from these posts other users can be inspired and motivated to either new dreams where they can access more information straight from the post to gain information or they can be more motivated and driven to fulfill their own individual dreams.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

We would introduce the idea of this new app in my community and let the seniors have an access to it, to check the accessibility of the app and how unanimously it works.

What skills, input or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Just a question, if there is a social online aspect, do you think it would be possible to have a real world social aspect of it, making it a group in real life.

Would be interested to hear your ideas?
