Reflections on pilot projects in offline communities in Indonesia and Kenya, taking financial data directly to the community

In the course of designing and implementing a pilot project that looked to explore the impact of public financial information in offline communities, I learned and continue to mull over many things- chief among them that if we rely purely on the market and infomediaries to disseminate key information- in many cases, it simply will not reach. This likely applies double to goods and services that require some infrastructure and investment like financial inclusion.

As part of the process I piloted, there was a community engagement session- by design, it was to link up with existing community institutions and structures versus creating our own feedback group. I think that type of thinking and heart will be crucial to the impact and meaningfulness of this endeavor.

Hi Sam, I checked the PDF you attached. If possible to add an image of the posters for the community members visualize, it'd be awesome.
