People are still looking for medicine to fight Ebola. However, some experts from World Health Organization (WHO) give us hope. They said treat Ebola patients with blood transfusions from survivors should be the best way to fight the disease at the present research stage. Survivors of Ebola can produce effective antibodies against the virus, transfusions of their blood into a newly infected individual may help that person survive the fatal disease. A few experts claim the transfusions could potentially do harm. Experts who support the plan believe it is theoretically feasible to recruit large numbers of Ebola survivors, collect blood from them, and use it to potentially help patients.
But it is a concern that whether there are enough people who have been contaminated can survive the disease? Assuming they can, however, transfusions may cause blood rejection and any other harm to patients.
