Foya, Liberia is downsizing it's MSF Ebola clinic from 140 beds to 40 as the community came up with its own plan:
  • Ebola is a disease, not a curse, not a government plot.
  • Those that are sick must go to the MSF clinic in Foya.
  • No one can bury their loved ones anymore. Effective immediately they would call the people who do it safely.
  • Although they are a very friendly people, there would be no more physical contact when greeting one another.

Jab thanks for sharing this great success story! It's great to see how safe care practices have been improved through the use of effective community education - and even more so when we see how the spread of prevention knowledge can dramatically reduce the cases of infections.
