Check out this groundbreaking video that's boldly shifting the dynamic of conversation -- straight from the grounds of my beloved Guinea!
I admire the creators of this video who are boldly shifting the dynamic of conversation. It refreshingly breaks down barriers and the "othering" stigma formed as a result of the Ebola epidemic---all from the very grounds of Guinea itself. Guinea and the rest of West Africa are more than just a "region" with Ebola--they are countries with a vibrant, varied culture, people and land, chock-full of potential and possibilty. There are hurdles to climb, certainly, but there's much to glean from the nuanced nature of the on-the-ground realities, both in forming best practices in the fight against Ebola, but also in the way the country pushes forth in the aftermath of this epidemic. And that will be where the real difference is made.
