  • Wii-based programs are an option for older adults who prefer to exercise at home.
  • Evidence from research studies shows that Wii-based training is comparable to other exercise programs for improving balance in older adults.

What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?

1. Virtual reality gaming may be a good solution to let old adults to do simple exercise at home. 2. We also can design a "Wii exercise gaming program" to attract old adults to join our program in every community.

Hi Hsiang-Ju!

Great post! I like the fact that it is all a fun exercise and there is an opportunity for older adults to gain feedback so they are informed.

This reminds me of an article I read about older adults playing Pokemon Go - http://bc.ctvnews.ca/this-is-what-73-looks-like-seniors-embracing-pok%C3%A9mon-go-1.3023481 How could we encourage older adults to exercise more outside? Walking buddies? Group activities?
