The Longevity Explorers, a community of older adults who meet monthly to explore topics at the intersection of aging and technology, have had a number of discussions about falling, and fall prevention.

These are audio-recorded and available to listen to on the Tech-enhanced Life website. The discussions are fairly rich, and might help as background for this challenge. You can see them here:

Among the topics covered:

  • What fall prevention products do these older adults actually use?
  • What do they see as flaws with current products?

Note: To listen to the actual discussions you need to become a member of Tech-enhanced Life (which is free). This lets you listen to many of the discussions. However some of them require a "Researcher Membership" which is inexpensive but not free. :)

Disclosure: I am the leader of the Longevity Explorer initiative and co-founder of Tech-enhanced Life.

What is a provocation or insight that might inspire others during this challenge?

Hear what actual older adults in their 70's, 80's and 90's think about fall prevention.
