Who is your idea designed for and how does it enable older adults to live their best possible life by preventing falls?

It's a community platform designed for people who have fallen ( not exclusive to age). We're leveraging "solidarity" and "information sharing" to build our platform. Here people can come together because they have a common interest, a common challenge, and a common goal of recovery

We wireframe what our digital product would look like. We wanted to get some insight from the OpenIdeo community on the product usability. Would you use this product? What do you like about it? What doesn't work for you?

What skills, input, or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Our product is not exclusive to the elderly, so we are open to insight from people in the community. If you've fallen would a product like this be useful for you? What do you like about it? What could be improved?

How long has your idea existed?

  • 0-3 months

This idea emerged from

  • A group brainstorm

Hi Sheba!

Good to see you being so active in the challenge!

Is this the next iteration of A Digital Product to Create a Community for People who Have Fallen ?

What is the size of the communities? Would this site be for the New York Community? Upper East Side?

For the 'incidents' would they be self-reported like Waze?

Could you use this to find a local 'recovery' buddy and you could go on short walks together?

How easy/likely is it that people change their doctors? Can you go to any doctors in the US or is it dependent upon a list pre-approved by your insurance provider?

Would this be used by Caregivers? Would there be information on new products/services?

Hi Kate

Thanks for sharing this feedback with us, we're most likely not going to go with this idea because we have another group idea Cane Day [UPDATED] . Thank you for the feedback, we're still in the game with another idea...
