Who is your idea designed for and how does it enable older adults to live their best possible life by preventing falls?

The idea is designed for people from middle age. My understanding of the information that is out there, the majority of the falls come from deterioration of the body either natural or caused by our habits, nutrition or even accidents that happened earlier in life. Having this information in a server, analyzed by an AI engine, could identify possible scenarios that we could avoid by implementing prevention measures. This helps older adult live a fuller life without getting to late diagnoses.

Life takes a toll on every decision we make in our younger life, all of these tolls are reflected as deterioration of our tissues and organs, if we understand our habits, measure body indicators real time and develop an AI that could basically help us make on time decisions, we could address issues like bone deterioration, monitor our health so that we could know if our blood pressure or body temperature could cause a loss of consciousness hence a major fall and/or additional injuries.

What early, lightweight experiment might you try out in your own community to find out if the idea will meet your expectations?

My uncle has a hip issue, he is 68 if he gets an implant soon he'll be able to have a good recovery and extend his quality of life. I want to include sensors in his body to measure posture and weight distribution in real time, adding this to an activity monitor we could send alarms of when he would need to sit or lay down in order for his body to recover and minimize additional damage.

What skills, input, or guidance from the OpenIDEO community would be most helpful in building out or refining your idea?

Develop surveys to identify younger stages habits, the surveys would need to be subtle like a cognitive interview. Monitoring can be made using spacial cameras, my idea is to have cameras like a kinect that can identify (scan) a person and tell if they are standing or sitting, or their posture. A special attachment and a smart watch to monitor temperature or blood pressure. If an invasive sensor can be applied you can check sugar levels. Will need a team to develop the AI to predict.

How long has your idea existed?

Hi Jose!

Thank you for sharing your idea.

In this sentence, ' want to include sensors in his body', do you mean implanted sensors or sensors on the surface of his body e.g. a wearable or sticker?
