Are you retired, living alone or your kids have moved away and have a lot of free time on hand? If you answered yes to one or many options , the Freedom Program is for you.
The Program will consist of the following phases:
Phase 1. Information Boot camp: Information sessions to old adults along with caregivers/family members. These week long boot-camps are designed to educate you, your friends and family on healthy ageing, diet, exercise and posture correction. Our community building games and exercises help you connect with like-minded people.
Phase 2. Providing the tools:Once we are convinced that all participants are ready for the next phase we provide some tools, one being the Super Suit App that helps you count your steps, provides gamified fall prevention exercises and quizzes and lets you compete with other members of the community. You can redeem the points you earn to get discounts at retail stores.
Phase 3. Weekly Sessions: Our weekly sessions are held at different locations parks, community centers, homes of our members where taichi, yoga, exercises and group sharing sessions on falls, family, diet and ageing take place. Every 2 weeks we have an update on health checks and diet from the members and get them connected to the right people.
Phase 4. Share Success: We want the community to grow bigger and bigger, phase 3 will share success stories of what works best for the group what benefits they achieved so that they can inspire others. We could start a web-series or podcast to reach larger audiences.
Phase 5. Sustaining & Engaging Members : Continuously engaging members and ensuring they are maintaining their healthy habits are are connected. Getting older adults engaged technologically by having certain programs on mobile and internet use.
