This kind of service can be baked into Amazon's Alexa device and can be one of Alexa's skill. But the great thing about this is that it works in tandem with other sensors around the house. That means, that it alerts an older adult to take more precaution when nearing stairs or in the bathroom. This alert system makes sure that the elderly takes extra care while nearby those places that can lead fall. Moreover, this tool can be very useful in reminding medications to the older adults. Another feature of this app is that it can remind "fashion" conscious older adults to travel with a cane or walker when necessary. For eg., Mrs. Doe doesn't like using her cane (prescribed by her doctor for prevention purposes) on regular basis. But, as it rained yesterday so the roads can be wet and slippery. The Alexa Skill knows this and before Mrs. Doe steps out of the house the skill will remind her to take the cane today to support herself.
