Each one of us perceive time in a unique manner. Between statistical life expectancy and the exceptionally productive senior is a gap of around 25 years. Sine 1981 I worked with a senior Sanskrit scholar who died in 2007 at the age of 100 years 6 months and 15 days consequent to a fall from bed. What explains the gap of 25 years and what finally led to the fall explains a host of questions that bothers every senior. A major consequence of aging is one finds your friends leaving and loneliness creeps in when community assumes a larger role.
