Decorative parts for walking aids to make them customizable. Products for changing the looks of the walking aid, daily if wanted. Matching your outfit, your mood etc. Decorative holding parts, tassles and stretch skins that can be matched together and changed frequently.
Holding parts with different shapes, materials, colors.
Stretch skins that can be easily put on and change the looks. Leather ones with different colors, with patterns and textures. As these can be used by all age people due to getting hurt etc, it might reduce the stigma to use them for the elderly. It would be a show of quality or taste, not a sign of disability. Something charismatic even.
Buying many new canes not so practicle, but the skin would be economicly adventageous and easy to change.
The holding part can even be transparent, wooden or any material. Just hand holding or with arm support, changable according to need.
What I observe is that, there are many beautifully designed canes, but they are not produced. I assume this is a matter of economic conveniency. A designer's cane might be too expensive, too futuristic or unusual looking etc to catch on. Just parts being interchangable gives a lot more oppurtunity and freedom. Especially because customization thus makes it more personal. User can get emotionally more keen to use it. Like wearing an outfit, it would reflect the user. So it stops being just a soulless aid and turns into just another fashion item.
