TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
I’m Arjan Tupan, Dutchman turned nomadic European, currently residing in Germany. I’m curious by nature, and think everything can always be improved, because the world around us, and what we know about it, is constantly changing, and adapting to this change in the best way we can, will help us create a world in which our children and future generations can thrive. I’m a serial entrepreneur, trend pioneer, and next to that, I’m a dad and husband, which are without a doubt the things I’m most proud of.
WHICH CONTRIBUTIONS DID YOU SUBMIT DURING THIS CHALLENGE?
WHICH POST DID YOU RESONATE WITH THE MOST FROM THIS CHALLENGE?
It’s hard to say which OpenIDEO contribution resonates the most with me. There are so many wonderful, inspiring contributions to be found in challenges! I liked the OpenIDEOx idea very much. But the idea that maybe resonated most with me, was the Field Immersion idea from Aaron Wong. Especially the discussion that was triggered by Aaron.
HOW WILL YOU USE OPEN INNOVATION TO TACKLE TOUGH PROBLEMS IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
One thing I learned from being on OpenIDEO, is that there are many people with awesome ideas out there, that are willing to help tackle problems. But maybe even more, it’s useless to solve problems for people you have never spoken to. So, I now always aim to dive deep into a subject myself, talk to as many people as I can to really get an understanding of the problem, and then talk to even more people to see how a problem can be solved.
WHAT’S ONE THING YOU’LL LOOK FORWARD TO ON OPENIDEO?
What I look forward to on OpenIDEO is to see more stories of how people took some of the great ideas on the platform and used them to solve actual problems with the actual people who face these problems.
