TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
I am the coordinator of the Barcelona OpenIDEO team and was one of the winners of the OpenIDEO Youth Employment Challenge. I am now coordinating the development and implementation of the One Day Experience Platform with my team. We were recently selected by OpenIDEO's Path2Pitching to apply for an accelerator program.
I am a social innovation entrepreneur, originally from the Netherlands, and lived in Australia and France, and the past 8 years in Spain. I graduated as a Master of Science in Product Design from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where I worked at an award-winning industrial design company, Flex the Innovationlab. I have been an entrepreneur for over 3 years and worked for 5 years at an innovation consultancy, Bax&Willems, before I became a partner at InstaGreen, a startup in urban farming.

WHICH POST DID YOU RESONATE WITH THE MOST FROM THIS CHALLENGE?
"Bringing open innovation into the physical world" by Charlie Turnley.
I strongly agree that physical collaboration on innovation is crucial for the creative process to develop solutions for complex problems
HOW WILL YOU USE OPEN INNOVATION TO TACKLE TOUGH PROBLEMS IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
In Barcelona, we are working with the local OpenIDEO team on One Day Experience: a platform for youth to try out different professions for a day before making crucial career decisions.
This March, we will have a brainstorm session together with youth and career coaches on how to best guide youth in this process.
WHAT’S ONE THING YOU’LL LOOK FORWARD TO ON OPENIDEO?
With One Day Experience, we participated in OpenIDEO's Path2Pitching during the Higher Ed challenge. We were selected to present for 8 accelerators and received positive responses on our pitch.
I am very much looking forward to the next steps in this process!
